Forest Glade

Forest Glade

70 x 60 cm Acrylic on Canvas 2024

From the ground up, layers of forest life unfold in rhythmic waves of color and light. Through her signature pointillist brushstrokes, Karin translates the intimate experience of lying beneath a forest canopy—where individual leaves dissolve into patterns of movement and the sky becomes a distant promise glimpsed through nature's ceiling.

The circular composition draws the viewer into this upward gaze, where vibrant greens and deep blues create a sense of depth and enclosure. Light filters through in touches of yellow and coral, suggesting the way sunlight plays across leaves in perpetual motion. Each brushstroke follows the natural architecture of branches and foliage, creating a rhythmic energy that mirrors the living, breathing quality of the forest itself.

This work invites contemplation, offering viewers their own moment of connection with nature's capacity to ground us in the present while opening our perspective to something beyond.
